Kids and College: Closing the "Test Score" Gap
I received this project funding from donors at DonorsChoose.org while working at Warren County High School.

Dear Anna, Barbara Kelley, Pulsara Gunasena, Steve S., David Farrell, Paul, CherylS, Mr. M, ibelieveinkidshearts, My mom, Bill, Amy, Charmaine and Anonymous Donor,
This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my school. The SAT, ACT, and college readiness books have helped our students so much already.Students have been checking them out and they are rarely sitting on the shelf in the counseling center.Students have been using the materials to study for the October SAT and the next ACT.
Our school is currently facing a budget shortfall, so without your help, my students would not have these extremely helpful resources.Just having them provides confidence to students who are anxious about taking such an important test.
Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms in the United States would not have resources for their students.
With gratitude,
Mr. Ricks

The Project
_My Project: Students will use test preparation books
and software to learn the skills needed to improve their SAT and ACT
scores. Kaplan, The Princeton Review, and The College Board materials
will bridge the gap between my students and their prospective colleges
and universities. I currently have only 2 test preparation books that
are over 5 years old. Students check these books out constantly. They
crave information that will help them on their quest to get accepted to
their #1 school. Students will use the guides and flash cards to
improve their vocabulary, writing, and mathematics problem solving
skills.
